DIY: Vanity Table Update

I really like what I did to my Vanity Table. If you have checked out my previous posts you can see that I already did a clean white theme for it but after a couple of months I realized that I need to make an update. It's not that I don't like how it looks I just wanted to make this area as Akie's play ground.

Personally I do love how the DIY came out, but as time goes by Akie is now 1 year and 4 months which is more active than usual and now he climbs everywhere! You can see him playing on top of my work table, vanity table or on our gaming area which is very tiresome for me to clean all the mess, like all the time. If you have a 1 year old kid then you know what I mean. I feel you!

So I decided to step back and think of other way that can still let Akie play around on that area without rampaging all the makeup products that I kept in there.

So this is how it came out. Yeah, I know what you think.
Very simple and compared to my last vanity table this is lifeless but it keeps all the makeup safely and neatly arranged inside. Also, I'm more into minimalist designs these days. So expect more changes for the coming days. ^_^

At the bottom of the table I placed storage boxes for extra storage for our pillows and comforters. This way, unused area is a big help to keep your place tidy and useful for extra storage specially for tiny house like ours. This works both as my little makeup station to get myself ready and as Akie's playground whenever I'm not around.

This is how it looks inside in the sliding cabinet that is attached to the wall.  It keeps all the skin care products that I used day and night, makeup tools that is just a quick grab whenever I'm on a run for errands, sample products on sachets and face masks, fragrances, creams and hair care products. So basically this place is for my girly stuffs. At least I still have a little heaven in here. Though its not yet done organizing all the stuffs that I have in here. I still have to find accrylic organizers to categorize each product.

This is the drawer underneath the table. After I'm done with my skin care products I proceed to this drawer. This is where I put all my makeup. Again this is not yet done I still have to reorganize this as I am still looking for acrylic organizers for each product category. I'm only using empty boxes and arranged accordingly to product category from BB creams, makeup foundations, eye and brow products, lip products, highlighters, face powders to blushes. I also have eye shadow palette from Naked and Mac which I had for a long time.

This is the only decoration for this area and I have to put it high just to keep it away from Akie. So far this is the best setup for my Vanity area as of the moment. I'll update you soon with more DIY projects.

Thanks for reading.
